Methodology: How This Compendium Works

The standards that govern what we publish, how we source it, what we will never claim, and why our approach to authority rests on source quality rather than named individuals.

Mission

What This Compendium Is

Peptides Pan-Europe — The Compendium — is a reference resource for English-speaking researchers, clinicians, and informed individuals seeking to navigate the peptide verification landscape across Europe. It is not a sales platform, a medical service, or a regulatory advisory service.

The compendium's premise is simple: English-speaking people across Europe — expatriates, international researchers, mobile professionals — encounter significant difficulty finding clear, English-language explanations of how peptide regulation works in countries where the primary official language is not English. This site provides that orientation, grounded in primary regulatory sources.

Sources

Primary Sources Only

Every regulatory claim in this compendium is derived from official primary sources: EMA publications and guidance documents, national competent authority websites and official alerts, and enacted pharmaceutical legislation. We do not cite secondary interpretations, commercial sources, or social media.

Authority

Authority Without False Personas

This compendium does not employ named "expert reviewers" or attributed testimonials from individuals whose credentials cannot be independently verified. We consider this practice — common across the health information sector — to be a form of epistemic fraud that ultimately undermines trust.

Our editorial authority rests entirely on source quality. A claim is credible because it derives from the EMA or AEMPS official websites, not because a named individual has asserted it. If a claim cannot be traced to a verifiable primary source, it does not appear in this compendium.

This approach is our response to the E-E-A-T challenge: rather than manufacturing signals of experience and authority through persona, we demonstrate authoritativeness through citation transparency and source rigour.

Compliance

What We Will Never Claim

This compendium maintains absolute compliance with the following prohibitions. No entry, article, or page on this site will ever:

  • Claim that any peptide aids weight loss, fat reduction, body composition improvement, or any similar outcome
  • Claim that any peptide builds muscle, improves athletic performance, or affects body composition
  • Claim anti-ageing, longevity, or age-reversal effects for any substance
  • Claim that any peptide cures, treats, or mitigates any medical condition
  • Recommend a dose, dosing schedule, or administration route
  • Suggest that any substance can or should be obtained without a prescription or outside authorised healthcare channels
  • Describe, imply, or link to "discreet shipping" or similar language associated with unregulated supply
  • Characterise any research chemical as an "alternative to" an EMA-authorised medicine

These prohibitions are absolute and apply to all content including blog entries, FAQ responses, guide material, and any affiliate-linked destinations evaluated for inclusion.

Updates

Update Policy

Regulatory frameworks evolve. EMA guidance is periodically updated. National competent authorities issue new alerts and revise their positions. This compendium is reviewed and updated when material changes occur at the EMA or NCA level that affect the information provided.

Each entry carries an update date. When in doubt about the currency of any information, always verify directly with the relevant national competent authority using the website addresses listed in the country directory.

Affiliate Disclosure

Commercial Relationships

This site contains affiliate links — links to third-party commercial services from which we may earn a referral fee if a visitor clicks and makes a purchase. All affiliate links are identified with the disclosure "Affiliate link" and use the HTML attribute rel="noopener sponsored" as required by web standards.

Commercial relationships do not affect editorial content. The country entries, analytical methodology explanations, regulatory framework descriptions, and compliance positions in this compendium are not influenced by affiliate relationships. We apply the same prohibitions and quality standards regardless of any commercial context.
